About Serafina

Serafina Vitale represents Embry-Riddle Worldwide. Originally from Long Island, New York. Serafina is pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Aviation at the College of Business, Worldwide.

In her role as delegate, Serafina brings experience in governance, as she is currently serving as the third president of the Worldwide Campus’ Student Government Association (SGA).

As an undergraduate at Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach Campus, she served for three years as Associate Justice for the Daytona Beach SGA Student Court, gaining exposure to all aspects and functions of the organization where she was awarded SGA Member of the Year in 2019.

Serafina also held the position of Career Services Ambassador, which called on her to participate in events and hold presentations to highlight the benefits of building a robust network and positioning oneself for rewarding career opportunities. In addition, Serafina was appointed to the College of Business Social Media & Marketing team and participated in Greek life as a member of Alpha Xi Delta.

In 2022, Serafina earned a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach. She credits her undergraduate experiences for helping her find her passion for helping fellow Eagles and networking.

She believes that students are the heart of the university, and they should be included in the conversations and voting of decisions that directly affect them.

“Having the ability to provide insight into aspects of student life at the university is a fundamental need for our organization and a personal goal of mine — to be a voice for our student body which consists of over 22,000 students,” she said.

In addition to her graduate studies, Serafina is currently working full-time at United States Aircraft Insurance Group as a licensed adjuster on the Airline Claims team.

Previously, she held the position of Communications and Policy Assistant at Ghyabi Consulting & Marketing. In that role, she collaborated closely with large engineering firms and state, local, and federal entities to edit governing documents and research best practices for large transportation and infrastructure projects. The work emphasized community resilience and economic development with stakeholder engagement.

Serafina has also contributed a chapter to the book titled “The Natural and Human History of Hempstead Plains,” writing about women in aviation.

She was recently selected as the Embry-Riddle recipient of the 2023 International Aviation Womens Association Scholarship.
